As a freshman, Collatz came in 4th in the discus at the state meet in 2008. This year she returns in the discus and shot put. She is the second best discus thrower in the state and is 20 feet better than the next girl.
Alex is also a good triple jumper and has won all three events at a single meet. She cam also ling jump and high jump.

Another stellar athlete to eye in the throws is Stockdale (CE) sophomore Alex Collatz in the discus. The versatile mega-athlete – a rare throws/jumps combination as she’s also an accomplished triple jumper to go along with her volleyball talents – is among the top 10th-grade throwers (165-03 discus) in state history!
